Global Link Services is the Sbi Remit Online service for Non resident Indians and others. Under the International Banking Group of State Bank of India, the headquarter is located at Mumbai. It is a web based product offered by SBI for remittance of money from abroad to India by Non resident Indians and others. Money transfer by SBI online service is totally secure and safe channel. The money transaction may be traced at any stage of transaction. All transaction is done under the norms set up by OFAC, AML or RBI acts. The online money transfer service by SBI is only for individual remittance only.

For sending the money to India through Sbi Remit Online services you have to register on the website http://remit.onlinesbi.com. The portal prompts you to select the region like United States or United Kingdom. Registration has be done only once on the portal. Registration process also prompts you to enter the basic details like date of birth, name, address along with passport number and other personal details. Your remittance profile will be created on the portal. With your profile login will be created for you, which allow you to remit the money to India. Depending up on your residence country details you have to submit the bank debit account details along with account details. After the validation of your account details you can initiate the process of remittance to India. The registration process for different products is given on the left hand side of the web page. If you find any problem in logging on the portal you may click on forget your password link. Your login id and password will be email to you on the mail provided by you at the time of registration. There are two modes of remittance in USA. The first one is direct debit facility (ACH) and other is regular wire transfer. Only payment modes started by customers are only offered in United Kingdom. Money transfer for USA is done under the ACH technology. For United Kingdom it is provided under wire transfer. Through Sbi Remit Online services, you may able to send money to your own account or the account of a friend, relative or any other person in India. Through the service you are not allowed to send the money to the account any trust, companies, firms, clubs, societies or any charitable, commercial or religious entity.
